After months of speculation, the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor boxing match is finally official.
Both Mayweather and McGregor confirmed the bout via social media on Wednesday afternoon. During an appearance on ESPN’s SportsCenter, UFC President Dana White said the bout will be contested at 154 pounds and will take place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Both fighters will wear 10-ounce gloves for the 12-round super welterweight contest. Further details, including fighter purses, have yet to be announced. White previously predicted that McGregor would make $75 million for a bout, which would be by far the largest payday of the Irishman’s career.
