One of the biggest newsmakers surrounding Conor McGregor in 2017 was his alleged conflict with the Irish Kinahan cartel. In late November, “The Notorious” reportedly punched a man in a Dublin club, who happened to be an associate of the cartel.
Further reports have claimed that McGregor’s life was in danger, and was advised by a local crime reporter to leave town. Conor’s father, Tony, however, dismissed these reports, saying he has nothing to be fearful about since they are a “law-abiding family.”
The issue has since died down, but McGregor’s last opponent Floyd Mayweather Jr.
