Floyd Mayweather Jr. (48-0, 26 KOs) is coming off the richest fight in boxing history vs. Manny Pacquiao, and it stands to reason that he only has 1-2 more fights left in him before he hangs up the gloves. While it's been long reported and never made official, Mayweather himself has confirmed his next opponent will be former welterweight titlist Andre Berto (30-3, 23 KOs) on September 12th on Showtime PPV:
Berto defeated Josesito Lopez by KO in a PBC on Spike main event in March. The former WBC welterweight champion had an absolute war with Victor Ortiz in 2011, with both men touching the canvas twice, but Berto lost his belt by unanimous decision.
