A blockbuster middleweight title fight lured Georges St. Pierre out of a four-year retirement, and it will likely take something of similar magnitude to get him back in the Octagon again.
According to Firas Zahabi, St. Pierre’s trainer at Tristar Gym, the former UFC welterweight and middleweight champion will need a “big, exciting fight” to catch his interest. St. Pierre submitted Michael Bisping in the third round at UFC 217 on Nov. 4 to capture the 185-pound title. After revealing that he was dealing with colitis, “Rush” vacated the belt to focus on his health.
