It was a fairly quiet week for fight bookings in the UFC. Only 9 fights were either announced or finalized but there were some highlights, including the championship rematch between bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling and No. 1 contender Petr Yan. Sterling confirmed the fight between him and Yan on social media, but it is reported by Damon Martin of MMA Fighting that only verbal agreements are in place as of right now. The rematch is expected to take place at UFC 267 in Abu Dhabi in what is the planned return of Fight Island.
