After being out for two years, Erik Koch made a successful return to the Octagon.
The UFC lightweight returned to action at Sunday's UFC Fight Night 88 after being out for two years due to injury. Koch defeated late replacement Shane Campbell via rear-naked choke in the preliminary card of the night. The official stoppage came at 3:02 of round two. The 27-year-old Koch is now 2-1 since his move up to the lightweight division. Prior to this fight, Koch last competed on May 2014 at UFC Fight Night 40 where he suffered a first-round technical knockout loss to Daron Cruickshank.
