EFC Worldwide recently announced via press release that at the Saturday April 13, 2019 event, (which will take place from GrandWest, Cape Town, South Africa) a bantamweight title unification bout. The champion, JP Buys, will take on recently crowned interim champion Luthando Biko.
The Two Champs Collide
Buys won the title in April 2018 as he defeated Philippe Rouch via first round mounted guillotine choke at EFC 69. Since then Buys has not competed for EFC but did emerge victories at Brave CF 19 in October of the same year defeating Gamzat Magomedov.
