Former interim lightweight champion, Dustin Poirier has offered to return to action on just a day’s notice tomorrow at UFC 311, in the form of a title rematch with Islam Makhachev, with would-be headliner, Arman Tsarukyan forced from the event through in injury.
Slated to return to action tomorrow night at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, surging number one ranked contender, Tsarukyan has been forced to withdraw from his UFC 311 re-run with current lightweight kingpin, Makhachev — with rumors circulating how the Armenian has suffered a back injury.
Himself sidelined since fighting Lafayette striker, Poirier back in June of last year, Makhachev successfully defended his lightweight title with an eventual fifth round D’Arce choke submission win over the veteran lightweight mainstay.
