Dustin Poirier has been awarded a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu by former UFC veteran Tim Credeur.

UFC lightweight standout Dustin Poirier may not have bagged UFC gold just yet, but he recently reached a milestone in his martial arts career. On Saturday, “The Diamond” announced his promotion to black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Poirier was promoted by TUF 7 alum Tim Credeur, whom he trains with at the Gladiators Academy in Lafayette, Louisiana.

The 28-year-old Poirier last fought in November when he won against former 155-pound champion Anthony Pettis via third-round TKO in their headliner event in Norfolk, Virginia.
