All signs still seem to be pointing toward a trilogy bout between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor later this year.
Porier is coming off a second-round technical knockout victory against the Irish superstar at UFC 257 on Jan. 23, while McGregor stopped “The Diamond” via first-round TKO in their first meeting at UFC 178 in September 2014. During a recent appearance on "The Joe Rogan Experience" podcast, Poirier discussed why a third matchup remains appealing.
“Conor wants the trilogy and I do too,” Poirier said. “We’re just trying to get the right deal structured.
