Dustin Poirier is now 2-1 versus Conor McGregor. Last night at UFC 264 the American was able to control the Irishman for the first round before an ankle injury took McGregor out of the contest.
During the short fight Poirier had the beating of McGregor both on the feet and on the ground. And it was on the ground that, according to Poirier, McGregor resorted to some illegal moves in order to try and get back into the fight.
At the post-fight press conference Poirier alleged that McGregor was grabbing his gloves.
“I let him up because he had three fingers in my glove, the cuff of the tape, so it’s a good grip, and he’s pulling me down into up-kicks.
