Dustin Joynson to face Russia’s Islam Abasov in ONE Championship Debut

British Columbia’s own Dustin Joynson will make his ONE Championship debut on April 7 live on TNT. The 35-year-old will face Russia’s Islam Abasov in his promotional debut.

Joynson announced his signing with ONE in early January.

It feels good [to have my first fight booked in ONE Championship],” said Joynson in a press release. “There’s not going to be any easy fights there, though. Everyone in the division right now looks like killers.”

Joynson signed with ONE in January on the strength of his undefeated record, which includes title victories on the Canadian circuit, multiple outings in top developmental promotion Cage Fury FC, and an appearance on UFC President Dana White’s Contender Series.
