Duane Ludwig has a few reasons why he’d like his protege T.J. Dillashaw to fight Demetrious Johnson next, some more obvious than others.
Dillashaw moving down to challenge for Johnson’s UFC flyweight title would be a huge fight. Johnson currently owns the record for the most consecutive title defenses in UFC history (11) and Dillashaw would have the chance to break it.
On top of that, Ludwig doesn’t think any other challengers for Dillashaw’s bantamweight title have done enough at this point for a title shot, especially former champion Cody Garbrandt.
