BOSTON – In what was an apt and timely homage to a cult classic, Dominick Cruz gave everyone the squirms for a quick minute at Friday’s open workouts. Cruz showed up to the UFC in GYM in Boston on crutches as he made his way to the cage. For a quick minute people were wondering what was going on.
Then, just as he got to the entrance, Cruz dropped the crutches and did a somersault into the cage, much to the delight of the public who’d assembled to see the former champ on display.
The homage was of course to Willy Wonka, the original 1971 classic starring Gene Wilder.
