Dominick Cruz has suffered yet another setback after sustaining a shoulder injury in the lead-up to his comeback fight against John Lineker at UFC 233.
Cruz, the former WEC and UFC bantamweight champion, was forced to pull out of the bout and will spend yet more time on the sidelines until he’s fully recovered. ‘The Dominator’ has been riddled with injuries since 2011, fighting just six times in the last seven years. Cruz last fought back in 2016 at UFC 207, where the 33-year-old dropped a unanimous decision to Cody Garbrandt and lost his bantamweight title.
The UFC fan favorite posted a sincere apology to Lineker for pulling out of the fight and wished ‘Hands of Stone’ the best of luck in his next matchup.
