Those who watched weigh-ins ahead of UFC 198 had a pretty good idea that Cristiane Justino struggled to make 140 pounds for her catch-weight bout with Leslie Smith.
However, a gaunt “Cyborg” on the scale only told part of the story. In a trailer for a documentary on the Brazilian fighter’s life filmed leading up to UFC 198, backstage footage shows a crying Justino surrounded by her team as she attempts to shed the pounds needed to make her contracted weight.
Ultimately, “Cyborg” made the weight and earned a first-round technical knockout stoppage of Smith in Curitiba, Brazil, on May 14.
