One of the last lingering threads in the UFC 229 post-fight brawl has been resolved.
Dillon Danis, a Bellator welterweight and cornerman of Conor McGregor, was issued a seven-month suspension at a Monday meeting of the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) for his role in the post-fight melee that spilled out of the cage following Khabib Nurmagomedov’s fourth-round submission victory over Conor McGregor at UFC 229. Danis was also fined $7,500. His suspension stretches until May 6, 2019.
In total, Danis is the fifth person to be punished for the UFC 229 post-fight melee.
