Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight Diego Brandao, 28, was suspended from active competition after testing positive (in competition) for marijuana metabolites, according to a report from MMA Fighting.
Brandao's test results exceeded the WADA limit of 180 ng/ml, as well as the NAC limit of 150 ng/ml. Nevada defines in-competition as the 12 hours before and after a fight.
Brandao (20-11) was submitted by Brian Ortega at the UFC 195 pay-per-view (PPV) event earlier this year in Las Vegas, Nevada, and is expected to appear before Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) for a full hearing during the next assembly.
