The Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) on Wednesday issued a temporary suspension to UFC featherweight Diego Brandao following the Brazilian's failed drug test at UFC 195 on Jan. 2 in Las Vegas, NV.
Brando (21-9) tested positive for marijuana metabolites in an in-competition drug screening ahead of a third-round submission loss against Brian Ortega.
Brandao's test results exceeded the WADA limit of 180 ng/ml, as well as the NAC limit of 150 ng/ml. Nevada defines in-competition as the 12 hours before and after a fight.
Brando, 28, is expected to receive a full hearing at a future NAC meeting.
