UFC middleweight Deron Winn was suspended for nine months by the Nevada Athletic Commission after testing positive for amphetamines in connection with a loss at UFC 248.
Winn also received an $1,800 fine and will have to pay court costs and provide clean drug tests prior to getting another license in the state, the NAC voted unanimously during a meeting on Thursday in Las Vegas.
According to the attorney representing the NAC, Winn admitted to violating the rules before agreeing to a settlement with the commission. First-time drug offenders can receive a minimum nine months and maximum of two years suspension.
