An interesting middleweight battle will go down in Nashville on Aug. 8.
Derek Brunson will meet Sam Alvey at UFC Fight Night 73.The Nashville Post initially reported the news on Tuesday.
Brunson (13-3), a Jackson's MMA fighter from Wilmington, N.C., has won four out of his past five bouts. His last fight was a first-round KO of Ed Herman in January, his second straight victory.
The bombastic Alvey (25-6) has made waves with his mouth, but the 29-year-old Team Quest fighter is just as fast becoming know for his fists.
