For the first time since 2016, the UFC is going to have an event in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
On Wednesday, the promotion announced seven fights for the May 4th card, and while none of them is the main event, the most notable matchup is a middleweight bout between Derek Brunson and Elias Theodorou. The entire event will stream live on ESPN+ from the Canadian Tire Centre, home to the NHL’s Ottawa Senators.
Brunson (18-7) is on a two-fight losing streak, having been knocked out by Jacare Souza and Israel Adesanya in his two appearances in 2018. The heavy-handed Brunson hasn’t had his hand raised in victory since knocking out Lyoto Machida in October 2017.
