David Rickels will replace the injured Derek Anderson and meet Adam Piccolotti at Bellator 189.
Promotion officials announced the change on Wednesday. Bellator 189 takes place at Winstar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Okla., on Dec. 1 and is headlined by a women’s featherweight title tilt between Julia Budd and Arlene Blencowe. The card airs on Spike at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT. Rickels-Piccolotti is expected to be a 160-pound catchweight affair.
Rickels, a former lightweight title challenger, is coming off a third-round TKO of Aaron Derrow in his most recent appearance at Bellator 171 on Jan.
