And now we have a sequel.
Demetrious Johnson will defend his UFC flyweight title in a rematch against John Dodson later this year, according to a report on Wednesday.
“UFC Tonight” reported that UFC President Dana White confirmed the match-up will take place at an upcoming fight card. A date and venue for the championship bout is currently in the works.
Johnson (22-2-1) has been untouchable since winning the 125-pound crown. In his last outing, “Mighty Mouse” went one second short of being in a 25-minute fight when he tapped out Kyoji Horiguchi at UFC 186 in April.
