A key flyweight scrap is heading to the Bay Area.
On Tuesday afternoon, MMAFighting confirmed an initial report from Combate of former UFC flyweight title challenger Tim Elliott returning to action order to challenge the surging Deiveson Figueiredo on the upcoming UFC on ESPN+ card in San Francisco.
Figueiredo (16-1) most recently smashed his way through Alexandre Pantoja at UFC 240 last month, earning his first Fight of the Night bonus in the process. Prior to this, the Brazilian saw his undefeated record come to an end when he came up short to Jussier Formiga at UFC Nashville in March.
