Daniel Straus and Patricio Freire are becoming quite the familiar foes.
The two featherweights will square off for a fourth time with Straus’ title on the line in the Bellator 178 headliner. The bout was announced during a press conference on Friday. Bellator 178 will take place at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., on April 21.
The history between the two rivals dates back to Bellator 45 in May 2011, when “Pitbull” took a three-round unanimous verdict over the Cincinnati native. Freire was featherweight champion when they next fought, and the Brazilian rallied for a fourth-round rear-naked choke victory in January 2015.
