An unbeaten heavyweight will get a chance to make his UFC debut as a short-notice replacement.
Daniel Spitz will meet Mark Godbeer at UFC 209 on March 4 in Las Vegas, MMA Fighting has learned. He’ll replace Todd Duffee, who had to pull out of the bout Thursday for undisclosed reasons.
Spitz boasts a pro record of 5-0, with three submissions and four of his victories going down in the first round.
Spitz was scheduled to compete on Thursday night’s King of the Cage show in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, but withdrew the day of the show when the UFC opportunity presented itself.
