The heavyweight rematch between reigning champion Daniel Cormier and former champion Stipe Miocic is officially set for UFC 241 on Aug. 17.
UFC officials confirmed an initial report from ESPN during the broadcast of UFC Ottawa on Saturday night.
Cormier (22-1, 1 NC), also a former UFC light heavyweight champion, previously dethroned Miocic with a violent first-round knockout at UFC 226 last July. While Miocic campaigned for an immediate rematch, Cormier instead defended his heavyweight crown against Derrick Lewis at UFC 230 in November, where fans saw him walk away with the second round submission.
