The UFC announced the sequel during Friday’s Summer Kickoff press conference.
The event takes place July 29 at Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
Jones hasn’t been seen since beating Ovince St. Preux for the vacant interim light heavyweight belt in April 2016. He was subsequently stripped of that crown after getting yanked from his UFC 200 title unification bout with Cormier just three days before showtime for a failed drug test.
Jones’ 12-month ban for taking a tainted “dick pill” will be lifted July 6.
While we’re discussing getting stripped, the UFC originally took away Jones’ belt following a felony hit-and-run arrest in 2015.
