On Friday morning, during the UFC 210 official weigh-ins, the UFC light heavyweight champion came in at 1.2 pounds over the limit required for light heavyweight championship bouts. Cormier was given another chance to weigh-in less than three minutes later, and was able to make the weight, but was holding the towel used to cover his body in the process, which many claimed was a trick used to manipulate the scale.
Jones didn’t hold anything back when asked about the weigh-in situation at a press conference Friday night, saying it was one of the dirtiest things he’s seen in sports.
