“It’s not good,” Cormier said on Tuesday’s episode of ‘UFC Tonight” where he serves as co-host. “You don’t kick a guy when he’s down. It was disappointing. All the stuff Jon gets in to is disappointing. He has the world at his fingertips and he can’t get out of his own way.”
Jones was stripped of his title and issued a temporary suspension by the UFC Tuesday night. Cormier, who lost a title tilt in lopsided fashion less than five months ago, and Anthony Johnson, who was originally slated to challenge Jones at UFC 187, will now battle for Jones’ vacant belt in the May 23 event.
