The Ultimate Fighting Championship has not yet determined the course of action it will take regarding the incident where Cristiane Justino punched Angela Magana at the promotion’s UFC Athlete Retreat on May 21.
“Obviously, we’re looking into that and it’s very serious,” UFC President Dana White told assembled media at “The Ultimate Fighter 26” tryouts. “We’ll see what happens. This is the thing that the district attorney and the police are handling right now. There’s way more to that than just what am I thinking about it.”
“Cyborg” was cited for misdemeanor batter by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on Monday and could be facing a six-month jail sentence and a $1,000 fine if the district attorney elects to pursue charges against her.
