Two promising prospects will be joining the UFC roster.
Joby Sanchez and Benito Lopez have been awarded contracts with the UFC after their impressive performances in the seventh edition of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. The action-packed event took place on Tuesday night at The Ultimate Fighter Gym in Las Vegas, Nev.
Sanchez, a former UFC fighter, stopped EFC interim flyweight champion JP Buys via technical knockout. In the first round, both fighters had a competitive contest and were constantly scrambling and reversing each other’s positions on the ground. But in the second, Sanchez began to win those grappling exchanges in which he was able to take Buys’ back, flatten him out, and land enough ground-and-pound to force the referee to stop the bout.
