Dana White sees bright future for Maycee Barber despite UFC 258 loss: ‘She’s a baby still’

A pair of up-and-coming flyweights were thrust into a co-main event spot Saturday and while one shined brighter than the other, Dana White is thrilled about both of their prospects.

Following the cancellation of Chris Weidman vs. Uriah Hall due to Weidman testing positive for COVID-19, Maycee Barber and Alexa Grasso were thrust into the penultimate fight of UFC 258, a change that placed the women squarely under the microscope. Grasso put on an outstanding all-around performance to win the decision, but Barber showed promise with a furious attempt to steal the fight in the third round.
