Newly-crowned UFC middleweight champion and former welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre has been sidelined yet again, according to UFC president Dana White.
The Canadian fan favorite is reportedly battling with colitis, an inflammatory condition that affects the inner lining of the colon. Symptoms include diarrhea, abdominal pain, and fatigue and, in severe cases, patients are required to undergo surgery.
“They actually called me yesterday and I think that it’s out that he has colitis,” White revealed on Friday, per MMA Weekly’s Damon Martin.
St-Pierre, 36, returned to the Octagon after a four-year hiatus at UFC 217.
