Despite having won four of his last five Octagon appearances, Sage Northcutt is no longer part of the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s roster.
During an appearance on the "UFC Unfiltered” podcast, Dana White confirmed that the Las Vegas-based promotion did not renew Northcutt’s deal.
“His contract was up, so we let him go,” the UFC president revealed.
The 22-year-old Northcutt last appeared at UFC Fight Night 133, where he earned a second-round knockout victory against Zak Ottow on July 14. “Super” Sage went 6-2 over the course of a promotional tenure that began in October 2015 when he was just 19 years old.
