Phillipe Nover was once one of the hottest prospects in MMA, but he is now on a very different career path as a registered cardiac nurse helping fight the coronavirus pandemic.
After impressing on season 8 of The Ultimate Fighter, Nover (11-8-1) was labeled as the “next Anderson Silva” by UFC president Dana White. Two unsuccessful stints in the UFC saw Nover go 1-7 in the promotion, and he ultimately retired from professional competition in 2017.
Once fighting in the octagon, Nover is now working in New York City as a cardiac nurse during the outbreak of COVID-19.
