Dana White on fighter tax surge after UFC 232 venue move: ‘It is what it is’

The sudden move of UFC 232 from Nevada to California in less than a week’s notice had caused some disarray among the fighters in the card. Women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes, for one, was not pleased about the the state income taxes they are required to pay in California.

But according to UFC president Dana White, the decisions that were made that led to the current circumstances are already the best ones they can come up with.

“Listen, it’s not an easy decision to make,” White said during the UFC 232 pre-fight presser on Thursday (transcript by MMAjunkie).
