Despite a decisive submission loss to Nate Diaz in his most recent appearance, it appears that trash-talking Featherweight champion, Conor McGregor, remains the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Golden Goose. "Notorious" is gearing up to rematch Diaz in the five-round, non-title Welterweight pay-per-view (PPV) main event of UFC 202, which takes place this Saturday night (Aug. 20, 2016) inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. And it appears as though the Irishman still has the Midas touch at the box office.
"I do [think it will break the all-time PPV record] — it’s trending that way," company president Dana White recently revealed during and appearance on 'The Herd.
