It appears that John Dodson will get his desired rematch with Demetrious Johnson.
UFC President Dana White told UFC Tonight on Wednesday that Dodson is next in line for a flyweight title shot. A date and a venue for the bout were not revealed. Johnson took a unanimous decision victory over Dodson in a five-round title bout at UFC on Fox 6 in January 2013. It is still widely regarded as Johnson’s toughest test since becoming champion, as “The Magician” dropped him with a left hand in the first frame and staggered him in round two before fading down the stretch.
