Dana White: If MMA is legalized in NY, the UFC will go there ‘with Jon Jones or without him’

UFC President Dana White delved into the topic of MMA legalization in New York and whether the UFC would host an event in Madison Square Garden without Jon Jones.

For many years, New York Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver made it his personal goal to keep Mixed Martial Arts from being legalized in the Big Apple. However, several months ago, Silver reigned following federal corruption charges, which paved the way for MMA's most optimistic runs to the Assembly yet.

On June 17, 2015, the bill to legalize MMA passed through the State Senate once again and will now appear in the State Assembly, where Silver never allowed the bill onto the Assembly floor for a vote.
