Dana White Eats ‘Stone Age’ Comment Toward AKA, But Not Really

American Kickboxing Academy (AKA) already houses reigning UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez and freshly-minted UFC light heavyweight champ Daniel Cormier (pictured).

UFC president Dana White announced Wednesday that Luke Rockhold, another one of AKA’s studs, will get next crack at middleweight title holder Chris Weidman. And, although he’s currently hurt, many believe it’s only a matter of time before undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov will sit atop the UFC lightweight throne.

That’s not too shabby for a gym that operates in the “Stone Age,” right Dana?

That’s the question Cormier, who moonlights as a analyst on “UFC Tonight,” playfully posed to White centered around the criticism White had for AKA’s old school/barbaric/caveman training strategy.
