The lightweight clash pitting Michael Chandler against Tony Ferguson figures to be one of the most entertaining bouts at UFC 274.
However, neither man’s job with the Las Vegas-based promotion will be on the line at the Footprint Center in Phoenix on Saturday night. Chandler has lost two of his first three UFC appearances, while Ferguson has dropped three straight in lopsided fashion on the heels of a 12-fight winning streak.
“You’re still talking about No. 5 vs. No. 7 in the nastiest division in the sport,” UFC president White told The Underground.
