The UFC President says the idea to hold events on a private island — dubbed “Fight Island” by both the public and the UFC, according to a recent trademark filing — is going forward as planned, with the hope that the location will be ready by June.
“Fight Island should be up and running in June,” White told ESPN on an Instagram Live chat. “So I should be able to start running international events in June. From May 9 to May 23, we’ll knock out four shows. And then in June we can start international stuff on the island.
