On Friday night at Bellator 149, Dada 5000 entered the cage against Kimbo Slice. Midway through the third round, Slice defeated Dada via an exhaustion knockout, which forced Dada to be taken away on a stretcher and transported to local hospital.
The following day, the Harris family released a statement regarding the health of Dada 5000.
“The Harris Family would like to inform Dada’s friends and fans that Dada is ok and resting comfortably in a Houston area Hospital under the care of an incredible staff of doctors and nurses.
The doctors have now informed us that Dada had accumulated extremely high levels of potassium in his blood which led to severe dehydration, fatigue and renal failure.
