Chico Camus has taken his Ultimate Fighting Championship release in stride.
Takedowns, a suffocating top game and a clear advantage in the standup department carried the Roufusport flyweight to a lopsided unanimous decision over Czar Sklavos in the Resurrection Fighting Alliance 40 headliner on Friday at the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Prior Lake, Minnesota. Camus (16-7) swept the scorecards with identical 30-27 marks from the judges.
Sklavos (12-5) was on the defensive for much of the 15-minute bout. Camus flummoxed him on the feet with darting punches, feints and steady switch stances before turning to his takedowns.
