Longtime mixed martial arts (MMA) veteran Evangelista Santos is retiring from combat sports after recovering from a fractured skull (see it) suffered in his technical knockout loss to Michael Page at the Bellator 158 event last year in London, England.
“Cyborg” — not to be confused with his ex-wife with the same moniker — is concerned about his longterm health and will instead focus his efforts on his family.
“I'm feeling really well, never felt anything (after the surgery), but I don’t think I will fight again,” Santos told MMA Fighting.
