Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic was the toast of the town when he captured the division strap with a thunderous knockout victory over Fabricio Werdum at UFC 198 back in May.
But he wasn’t really the “King of Cleveland” because it happened in Brazil.
Fast-forward to UFC 203 in September and Miocic made his first title defense by stiffening Alistair Overeem in the pay-per-view (PPV) main event, held inside Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
It’s good to be king.
But that’s a title he’ll be forced to share with “King” Lebron James after the basketball phenom helped lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to an NBA championship earlier this year, at the expense of the heavily-favored Golden State Warriors.
