The California State Athletic Commission has officially overturned Jon Jones’ UFC 214 victory against Daniel Cormier to a no contest.
The news comes one day after it was revealed that Jones’ “B” sample came back positive for the steroid Turinabol. Multiple outlets have confirmed the CSAC ruling following an initial report from MMAFighting.com’s Marc Raimondi.
The UFC has not issued a public statement regarding the status of the light heavyweight title. Cormier entered the bout as the defending champion.
Jones defeated Cormier via technical knockout 3:01 into the third round of their headlining bout at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.
