CSAC Grants Jon Jones Continuance, Moves Hearing from Dec. 12 to February

Jon Jones won’t appear before the California State Athletic Commission until next year.

CSAC Executive Director Andy Foster confirmed to MMAFighting.com on Tuesday that the former UFC light heavyweight champion has been granted a continuance and will not appear before the commission until an as-yet-to-be determined date in February. Jones, who tested positive for the anabolic steroid Turinabol after his victory over Daniel Cormier at UFC 214 on July 29, had a hearing originally scheduled for Dec. 12.

Jones’ victory over Cormier was changed to a no contest, and “DC” has since been reinstated as light heavyweight champion.
